Starsight voted a top AR agency by analysts in 2021 IIAR> Awards.

On the 2nd December 2021, the Institute of Influencer & Analyst Relations (IIAR>) announced its annual awards. We are ecstatic to announce that Starsight Communications was placed second in the Analyst Relations Agency of the Year category, as voted by analysts.

The Starsight team is delighted to be recognised by industry analysts and peers –our client feedback so far is also extremely encouraging. We pride ourselves on our community contribution, in particular through our engagement with the IIAR>. Through this, we have had the chance to work with the majority of this year’s award winners and nominees. Starsight founder, Ludovic Leforestier, has contributed to many recent thought leading publications, including the analyst webinars below and several best practice papers such as the IIAR> Primer: Why should startups and scale-ups have an analyst relations strategy? or the IIAR> Primer: Future Shock: The Coming State of Analyst Relations and several IIAR> Best Practices Papers on building an AR plan, running a briefing, etc. Those contributions are of course pro-bono, free to access for IIAR> members and aim to advance analyst & influencer relations as a profession.

We can’t wait to see how Starsight develops and we’re glad to have you all onboard with us. It’s been a fun ride so far, working with clients on several Gartner Magic Quadrants, with analysts on market shares and overall delivering value via the four impacts of AR

Congratulations to all of last night’s nominees, starting with the Analyst of the Year winner Liz Miller / Constellation Research and runners up Fabrizio Biscotti / Gartner and Christina Richmond / IDC.

The Analyst Relations Professional of the Year was awarded to Christine Keck / Ciena. We’re looking forward to catching up with her on the 9th December as she is co-hosting a webinar with Ludovic and Noelle Shipley to get an update on analyst firm Canalys. We also congratulate warmly the runners-up Sarita Kincaid / SugarCRM, a co-authored the latest IIAR> Best Practice Paper: Running a Briefing and Anja Steinmann / BT who recently co-hosted an IIAR> webinar on KuppingerCole and IDC (link below).

We love to work with analysts from all firms and are glad that IDC were recognised for their achievements as the Analyst Firm of the Year, Crawford del Prete you should be proud of the hard work of the firm. We had of course the pleasure and privilege to catch-up with Meredith Wahlen and Crawford during the IIAR> Webinar co-hosted by Ludovic and Anja Steinmann back in June when the IDC bought Metri. More news on IDC to come as the Blackstone acquisition has been closed recently. The runners-up are Gartner and Omdia should also be proud, all provide great insights and have been instrumental in our work since we launched.

Still on the analyst firms aspect, we are consistently working with sales teams to extract all the value from research subscriptions and engagement and so it was excellent to see Pierre Nedelec / Gartner awarded IIAR> Client Partner of the Year, closely followed by Matthew Vinson / IDC and Michael DeVagno / Omdia, congratulations on doing a great job this year.

The IIAR> Agency of the year 2021 was our peer Spotlight, Starsight came second and we’re humbled and glad to see our friends at Loenberg AR joining us on this podium. A massive thank you to every analyst that voted for us!

These results are based a questionnaire led by the IIAR>, which received over 350 votes from 23 countries. Nominations included 80 Analyst Firms, 300 analysts and 153 AR Pros. The questionnaire results were combined with the ARInsights Power100 data, IIAR> proprietary data and supported by NarrativeWorx. The IIAR> began issuing awards in 2008 and the categories have grown and adapted over the years. This year’s questionnaire topics ranged from area knowledge, value added and experience of working with. AR pros rated analyst impact on overall technology buying decisions and the actionability of their advice. Conversely, analysts rated AR pros based on the IIAR> 3Rs – results, responsiveness and relations.

Finally, we would like to give props to our friends Aniruddho Mukherjee, Crystal Golightly and Gerry Van Zandt at IIAR> for hosting this great event.
